The Happy Travellers

YES, Travelling makes us happy!

We’ve tried living in one place for a long time but it just does not feel right for us. These days we travel extensively about the UK (mainly England though) and across Europe, making our way through France to Spain and Portugal and usually in the summer through France and Germany to Sweden.
We tend to take our time to wander through France and Germany on our way to the destination countries because we just love the people, cultures, and beautiful scenery and villages that make up Europe.

We like to visit the sunnier places in the winter months so we set off from Folkstone in our motorhome, taking the channel tunnel to Calais in France.

Wending our way through France visiting "off the beaten track" villages and towns to soak up the french lifestyle in late December and January each year.

Travel should not be rushed so we take plenty of time getting to the sunshine in southern Spain and Portugal. We like to visit places we have not been to before and to see some familiar places too. It’s a real joy when we sometimes find a hidden gem that we’ve previously missed.
